Long Island ~ QUEENS, N.Y. - The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, in collaboration with JFK Millennium Partners (JMP), has announced a partnership with Fortbrand Services LLC to manage and operate the common-use, all-electric ground support fleet at Terminal 6 in John F. Kennedy International Airport. This move marks a significant step towards achieving the Port Authority's goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
Fortbrand Services, a Long Island-based company, will be responsible for managing the future all-electric ground support (e-GSE) fleet in a pooled setup at T6. This means that the ground support equipment will be shared among airlines, maximizing efficiency and reducing emissions by replacing diesel-powered equipment.
