BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Nyenta -- On Saturday, August 2nd, the energy of the Bronx will rise to new heights as a lineup of Latin DJs take over LoHi Rooftop in Brooklyn to celebrate Latin music, Afro-Latin rhythms, house, and cultural connection.

The evening will feature sets from Dos Flakos, Ultra Violet, 2Melo, and Fabricated Ambiance, all known for redefining the Latinx sound in NYC. From deep percussive house to high-energy dembow and Afro-Latin beats, this event invites the community to dance across genres, generations, and boroughs.

Dos Flakos, a Dominican DJ/Producer duo from the Bronx known for their genre-bending approach to global dance music, perform a mix of originals, edits, and remixes that span Afro-Latin house, club, and electronic sounds. Dos Flakos are co-founders of MUNDO-Bodega Rave, a collective created alongside DJ Guari to bring raves back to the Bronx and revitalize its underground nightlife. Their infamous bodega/warehouse raves have sparked buzz for their raw energy, cultural pride, and boundary-pushing settings.

Their collaborative efforts represent not only a musical partnership, but a larger mission to carve out space for Latinx expression, sound, and liberation within NYC's underground music scene. Listen to their remixes and original releases on platforms like SoundCloud and Bandcamp.

LoHi was built for sound with its world-class sound system and designed by Steve Martinez, father of the House music duo, The Martinez Brothers, in collaboration with Mike Piscitelli, ensuring the music hits deep and true under the Brooklyn skyline.

Bronx-based vendor, Pink Honey Botánica, known as "floral artistry for lovers, heartbreakers, disco dreamers & all those who dance in between" will also bring their signature flair to the rooftop with a pop-up market of florals and spiritual goods. This event will shine a spotlight on Latinx artistry while transforming one of Brooklyn's freshest rooftops into a celebration of identity, rhythm, and release.
