NEW YORK - Nyenta -- Ton-Up, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of an interview with Blood on the Saddle's guitar virtuoso and founder, Greg Davis. Davis has also played with Dead Hippie, The Vandals, and Candye Kane. The interview comes from cinematographer and filmmaker Laurent Basset's (MusiCalifornia, Freeway, Below Deck Mediterranean, The 600: The Soldiers' Story) unreleased film, Vinerepylenoma, and is available today on Vevo, the world's leading music video network.

Shot in 2002, the interview provides a historical, firsthand account of the 1980s Los Angeles punk scene. It also presents Davis's musical idea for forming Blood on the Saddle. This segment is part of a series of follow-up interviews with bands from the iO Productions show, "MusiCalifornia." The show was a half-hour monthly program that documented the 1980s, Los Angeles "underground" music scene. It originally aired for several years in France on Antenne 2, ending in 1988.

A few of the bands who appeared on the show include: Blood on the Saddle, Minutemen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane's Addiction, and Meat Puppets. Even legendary Doors keyboardist/producer, Ray Manzarek, and James Brown made an appearance.

Blood on the Saddle is one of the most influential bands to emerge from the early 80s "underground"  Los Angeles music scene. Founded by singer, songwriter, producer, and guitar virtuoso Greg Davis, who developed the idea of mixing bluegrass with the aggression of punk rock.

The original line-up of the band consisted of: singer/songwriter/musician Annette Zilinskas (The Bangles, The Ringling Sisters, Medicine), Drummer Hermann Senac (Guilty Hearts, Crowbar Salvation, Groovy Rednecks), and bass player Ron Botelho (Groovy Rednecks).

Blood on the Saddle has toured throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. The band has shared bills with the Minutemen, the Meat Puppets, Social Distortion, the Gun Club, the Blasters, Los Lobos, Lone Justice, the Knitters, and Rank and File.
