MONROE, Conn., Feb. 14, 2025 ~ Verdek LLC, a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions and sustainability initiatives, has recently welcomed Gene Irwin as their new Manager of GSA/DoD Fleet. With his extensive business experience and dedication to advancing green technology, Gene is a valuable addition to the Verdek team.

Prior to joining Verdek, Gene served as the Technical Project Manager for a multi-million-dollar energy development project, where he oversaw exploration, production, and financial management. He also has a strong background in mergers and acquisitions, having managed over $175 million in transactions for small to medium-sized companies in America. With his financial and technical expertise, Gene has generated over $125 million in revenue through projects involving Artificial Intelligence, CAD/CAM technology, and major construction projects. He also has experience as the Chief Operating Officer of a private banking-software firm where he successfully completed an IPO.

Gene's impressive credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Master's work in Mechanical Engineering, and a Master's degree in Thermodynamics R&D. He is also a Certified Nuclear Scientist.

Since late 2024, Gene has been managing GSA/DoD projects for Verdek, including commercial charging station installations. His 30-year history of growing technical businesses makes him well-equipped to assist GSA/DoD clients with their EVSE technology needs.

With Gene on board, Verdek is now able to offer customers comprehensive design services, technical support, and fiscal management for their complex requirements. In his role as Manager of GSA/DoD Fleet, Gene will oversee current government projects while also supporting the company's commercial charging station installations at various stages of growth. He will also work closely with Chris Mohasel, Director of Construction Services at Verdek, to provide design-build consultation services.

According to Guy Mannino, CEO of Verdek LLC: "Gene will play a crucial role in expanding our services to include large-scale government solutions for green electric and fleet management. As a veteran USAF Officer, he understands the needs of GSA/DoD and his expertise will be invaluable in meeting the evolving needs of our clients across all sectors."
