ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 10, 2025 ~ On September 11, 1997, the world was forever changed when Islamic extremists carried out a devastating attack on the World Trade Center in New York City. The attack, which claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 people, was intended to strike a fatal blow to America. On that fateful day, Ally was at the Orlando airport about to board a flight for a broker conference in Indianapolis when news of the attack broke.

As thousands of flights were cancelled and all U.S. civil aviation was grounded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Ally realized that although the WTC was a prominent center of commerce, it was only one component of America's vast economy. He notes that while some businesses may have been affected by the attack, America as a whole continued on.

The terrorists had underestimated not only the resilience of the American people but also the strength of our free market and decentralized economic system. As Ally puts it, "Such a traumatic event may have brought down a less free nation, but not an America under God and committed for more than 200 years to individual, economic and religious liberty."

Ally also takes time to remember and honor those who risked their lives on that day. He specifically mentions the First Responders – police and firefighters – who selflessly worked to save as many people as possible before the towers collapsed. He also pays tribute to the brave passengers aboard Flight 93 who sacrificed their lives in order to bring down the hijacked plane before it could reach its intended target.

In reflecting on this tragic event twenty-four years later, Ally expresses gratitude for the blessings of freedom and prosperity that America has been granted. He also emphasizes the importance of never forgetting the events of 9/11 and the lessons learned from them.
