Yonkers, NY ~ Mayor Mike Spano of Yonkers, NY declared a state of emergency in the city due to the effects of heavy rains and flooding. The mayor urged residents to limit travel for their safety and for first responders to access roads safely.
Alternate side of the street parking is suspended from September 29th through October 1st, however meters remain in effect. After school activities at Yonkers Public Schools have been cancelled as well.
