~ The 96th Yonkers Marathon will take place on Sunday, September 17th, 2023, and residents and visitors should be aware of the road closures and parking restrictions that will be in effect.
South Broadway will have its southbound lane closed from Nepperhan Avenue to Valentine Lane. Nepperhan Avenue's southbound lane will be closed from Roberts Avenue to Lake Avenue. Riverdale Avenue's right lane of southbound traffic will be closed from Herriot Street to Valentine Lane. Valentine Lane's westbound lane will be closed from South Broadway to Hawthorne Avenue from 8:00 am through 9:30 am. Warburton Avenue's southbound lane will be closed from O'DeII Avenue to Wells Avenue. Buena Vista Avenue from Main Street to Herriot Street will be completely closed until 10am, after which only the southbound lane will remain closed. Larkin Plaza/ Van Der Donck Park Area, Dock Street from Warburton Avenue to Buena Vista Avenue, and Nepperhan Street from Warburton Avenue to Buena Vista Avenue are also affected by the closures.

Parking is prohibited on Buena Vista Avenue/River Street from Hudson Street to Wells Avenue, Dock Street from Warburton Avenue to Buena Vista Avenue, Nepperhan Street from Warburton Avenue to Buena Vista Avenue, Nepperhan Avenue from Executive Boulevard to Odell Aveune, and the west side (southbound side) of Nepperhan Aveune from Lake Aveune to Ashburton Aveune as well as the west side (southbound side) of South Broadway from Prospect Street to St. Andrew's Place starting at 10:00 pm on Saturday 9/16/23 through 2:00 pm on Sunday 9/17/23.
The general area of Larkin Plaza and Van Der Donck Park should also be avoided during the hours of the event due to expected congestion. The Yonkers Marathon organizers apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
