~ The City of Yonkers is hosting its annual Columbus Day Parade on Sunday, October 1st. The parade will begin at 2:00 PM at Seminary Avenue and Yonkers Avenue, and will march on Seminary Avenue to Smart Avenue, continuing to Midland Avenue and ending at Mile Square Road. After the parade, an Italian Street Fair will be held on Midland Avenue.
Due to the event, several road closures and parking restrictions will be in effect. Midland Avenue from College Place to Mile Square Road will be closed from 1:00 PM until approximately 6:00 PM. Yonkers Avenue will be closed from Belmont Avenue to St John's Avenue from 1:00 PM until approximately 2:30 PM. Additionally, Seminary Avenue in its entirety and Smart Avenue from Seminary Avenue to Midland Avenue will be closed from 1:00 PM until approximately 3:00 PM.

No parking is allowed on both sides of Yonkers Ave from Page Ave to Seminary Ave, West side of St Johns Ave from Yonkers Ave to Sweetfield Circle, both sides of Seminary Ave from Yonkers Ave to Smart Ave, both sides of Smart Ave from Seminary Ave to Midland Ave, both sides of Midland Ave from Smart Ave to Brewster Ave and both sides of Mile Square from Midland to 584 Mile Square Ave beginning at 12:00 PM until approximately 6:00 PM.
Motorists not attending the parade or street festival are advised to avoid the area due to expected congestion and traffic on surrounding streets. The City of Yonkers invites everyone for a fun-filled day with the Columbus Day Parade and Italian Street Fair!
