NEW YORK, June 13, 2025 ~ On Thursday, June 12, 2025, the cyber risk industry's top individuals and firms were honored at the 12th annual Cyber Risk Awards held at Gotham Hall in New York City. The event, sponsored by Arch Insurance, Arete, The Beckage Firm, CFC, CRC Group | INSUREtrust, CyEx, Cytactic, Epiq, Gordon Rees, Lyra Recovery, Pondurance, and S-RM, celebrated the achievements and contributions of those shaping the cyber risk marketplace.
The black-tie gala dinner was attended by nearly 500 guests and featured presentations from esteemed industry leaders such as Alexandra Bretschneider of Johnson, Kendall & Johnson; Jeremy Gittler of Resilience; Lindsey Maher of CFC; Tom Reagan of Marsh; Emily Selck of The Baldwin Group; and Tresa Stephens of Allianz. Each speaker provided a unique perspective on the cyber risk industry and its participants.
Jeff Cohen, Senior Vice President at Zywave expressed his congratulations to all the winners and nominees. He emphasized that these awards are not decided by judging panels or backroom decisions but rather through a democratic voting process. Cohen also thanked the thousands who voted and everyone who contributed to making the event a success.

Since 2013, Zywave's Cyber Risk Awards have recognized individuals and companies at the forefront of the cyber risk industry. This year's ceremony honored five individuals and twelve companies in various categories.
Nick Economidis from Crum & Forster received the Cyber Visionary Award while Michael Phillips from CFC was named Cyber Risk Industry Person of the Year for The Americas. Lindsey Maher from CFC was recognized as Cyber Risk Industry Person of the Year for London/EMEA while Rebecca Lumb from Beazley received the title for Actuary/Modeler. Stu Panensky from Pierson Ferdinand was named Cyber Risk Industry Person of the Year for Attorney.
In the company categories, CFC was awarded Cyber Safety & Loss Control [Pre-Breach] Team of the Year, AXA XL received Cyber Claims Team (Insurer or MGA) of the Year, and S-RM was recognized as Cyber Incident Response Team of the Year. The International Women's Cyber Alliance was named Cyber Newcomer of the Year while Mullen Coughlin received the title of Cyber Law Firm of the Year. Bitsight was awarded Cyber Technology Provider of the Year, Marsh received Cyber Retail Broking Team of the Year, and CRC was recognized as Cyber Wholesale Broking Team of the Year. Gallagher Re was named Cyber Reinsurance Broking Team of the Year while Cowbell received the title for Cyber MGA of the Year. Beazley and Munich Re were honored as Cyber Insurer and Reinsurer of the Year respectively.
