On November 6-7, Goods for Gaza's "Threads Between Us" will connect New Yorkers with Gaza-based artists, writers, and filmmakers through art, conversation, and cultural exchange

NEW YORK - Nyenta -- NEW YORK, NY — Against all odds, visual artists, filmmakers, and writers in Gaza continue to create original work that deserves to be seen and celebrated.

"Threads Between Us," a two-day celebration of Palestinian art, literature, and film, invites New Yorkers to look beyond politics and headlines to connect directly with the creative voices of Gaza through exhibits, presentations, film, poetry, and interactive experiences.

Organized by the grassroots initiative, Goods for Gaza, the event will showcase new, original prints and books, providing tangible support for participating artists and their families in Gaza. "It's a celebration of creativity and an act of collaboration across borders, built on the conviction that Palestinian voices must not only be heard, but supported, celebrated, and given space to create," says Trish Maud, founder of Goods for Gaza.

Friday, November 6 | 6–9 PM

Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and author Mosab Abu Toha will share poetry and reflections on education and the challenges facing children in Gaza today.

South African scholar A. Kayum Ahmed will lead a conversation on peaceful resistance
